Job Description

Assistant Manager- Monitoring and Evaluation (GP), will play a crucial role in assessing the effectiveness and impact of Government partnership programs and take initiatives within the assigned region. Primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and oversee monitoring and evaluation frameworks to ensure that all activities are carried out efficiently and achieve their intended outcomes. By providing valuable insights and data-driven recommendations, the candidate will contribute to continuous improvement and informed decision-making processes.

Location: Jaipur/Ajmer (Rajasthan)


Reporting to: Sr. Manager- Impact


Key Responsibilities:

Design and Develop Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Systems:

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to create robust M&E frameworks aligned with project goals and objectives.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and data collection methods to measure project progress and impact.
  • Implement data management systems to ensure accurate and timely data collection, storage, and analysis.

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Self-involvement and oversee data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and other relevant methods.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management and project teams.

Project Evaluation:

  • Conduct periodic evaluations of projects to assess their efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
  • Identify best practices and lessons learned to inform future project planning and execution.
  • Work closely with project teams to integrate evaluation findings into ongoing project implementation.

Capacity Building and Training:

  • Train project staff and stakeholders on M&E tools, methodologies, and data collection techniques.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams in understanding and utilizing M&E data effectively.

Risk Management:

  • Monitor project risks and work with relevant teams to develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Regularly review project performance against targets and identify potential challenges.

Learning and Knowledge Management:

  • Facilitate learning workshops to promote knowledge sharing and learning across projects and departments.
  • Contribute to the development of case studies and success stories to highlight project achievements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Collaborate with relevant departments to develop and implement recommendations based on M&E findings.
  • Participate in strategic planning exercises to align M&E efforts with organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., Development Studies, International Relations, Social Sciences, Economics, etc.).
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in handling monitoring, evaluation and learning related task
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using advance excel, SPSS/STATA or other software
  • Proficiency in designing tools using tech-based platforms such as SurveyCTO/Kobo Collect or related platform
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret and present data to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant M&E methodologies and evaluation approaches.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across departments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ensuring data accuracy and ethical considerations in M&E activities
