Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and benefits administration, such as provident fund, ESI and Insurance.
  • Process payroll data including new hires, terminations, promotions, salary change and other employee status changes in the SAP system.
  • Collect and review timekeeping and attendance records using the time management software.
  • Ensure all Time and Attendance system is configured correctly and maintained.
  • Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies while processing payroll.
  • Preparing payroll reports, including income tax returns and provident fund filling.
  • Conducting regular payroll audits and ensuring compliance with Indian labour laws, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, including attendance, leaves and personal information.
  • Collaborating within the HR Dept and finance departments to seamlessly integrate payroll and reconciliation of payroll data.
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Work with vendor for statutory payment like PF, ESI, LWF etc.
  • Administer and maintain payroll systems, ensure data integrity, and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations, statutory & tax laws, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance and best practices.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

MBA in HR or MSW with 4 to 8 Years of experience in HR (Payroll and compliance).

  • Experience in payroll processing including TDS and income tax provisions.
  • Proficiency in payroll software SAP / HRIS and MS Excel) (Preferred).
  • Familiarity with time and attendance systems.
  • Familiarity with payroll-related aspects of Indian labour laws, such as the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Act, the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Act and the Professional Tax Act.
  • Ability to adapt to changing payroll regulations and implement necessary updates.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
