Sr Analyst / Analyst VC

Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:

• Identify and research potential investment opportunities through various channels, including industry events, networking, and online platforms.
  
• Evaluate new investment opportunities by analysing business plans, financial statements, market data, and competitive landscapes.
  
• Conduct due diligence on potential investments, including market research, financial modelling, and competitive analysis.

Financial Analysis and Modelling:

• Develop and maintain financial models to project company performance and assess investment returns.
  
• Perform valuation analyses using various methodologies, including comparable company analysis, discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, and precedent transactions.
  
• Analyse historical financial statements and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and assess business viability.

Market Research and Industry Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends, growth opportunities, and potential risks.
  
• Analyse competitive landscapes and assess the competitive positioning of potential investments.
  
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies, industry news, and venture capital trends.

Investment Process Support:

• Prepare investment memos and presentations summarizing investment opportunities and recommendations for the investment committee.
  
• Assist in the negotiation and execution of investment transactions.
  
• Support portfolio companies with strategic projects, market analysis, and fundraising efforts.

Networking and Relationship Building:

• Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other investors.
  
• Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to source deals and expand the firms network.

Requirements

• Candidate must be CA / CFA (level 2 and above) / B. Com/ BTech from premier institutes
  
• Candidate should possess 3+ years of experience being associated with VC fund or Investment Banks or related field
  
• Strong academic record with demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills.
  
• Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills, with proficiency in Excel.
  
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance concepts.
  
• Solid understanding of technology, business models, and industry dynamics.
  
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
