Job Description

Mechanical Head to lead the mechanical design, development, and manufacturing of ourmobile robotics solutions. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience.in mechanical system design, BOM (Bill of Materials) management, prototyping,and manufacturing processes. They will work closely with cross-functional teamsto ensure the successful development of cutting-edge robotic systems.

Responsibilities

1. MechanicalDesign Development:

Lead the mechanical design anddevelopment of mobile robotic systems.

Oversee structural analysis,material selection, and component integration.

Ensure optimal weight, durability,and efficiency in mechanical systems.

2. BOM(Bill of Materials) Management:

Develop and manage detailed BOMsfor all mechanical components.

Optimize cost-effective sourcingof mechanical parts.

Ensure proper revision control anddocumentation for BOM.

3. PrototypingManufacturing:

Supervise the prototyping ofmechanical components.

Collaborate with suppliers andvendors for fabrication and assembly.

Implement DFM (Design forManufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.

4. TestingQuality Assurance:

Conduct mechanical testing, stressanalysis, and reliability testing.

Work closely with the quality teamto ensure compliance with industry standards.

5. TeamLeadership Collaboration:

Lead and mentor a team ofmechanical engineers and designers.

Collaborate with electrical,software, and robotics teams for seamless integration.

Ensure projects are delivered ontime, meeting all technical and quality standards.

Requirements

Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech inMechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.

Experience :

8 - 15 years in mechanical design, robotics, automation , or related industries.
Strong experience in BOM management, CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, etc).
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.
Experience with motion systems, actuators, and chassis design .

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in 3D modeling, simulations , and FEA analysis.
Hands-on experience with prototyping, SPM machining, and additive manufacturing.
Understanding of robotic kinematics, dynamics, and thermal analysis.
