Job Summary: The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of quality control and assurance within the company.
They ensure that products meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations by implementing and maintaining effective quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS):
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System in compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO, GMP).
Product Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce quality standards, specifications, and procedures for the production of personal care products.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of manufacturing processes and finished products to identify and rectify quality issues.
- Monitor and control the entire product lifecycle, from raw material & packing material sourcing to distribution.
- Monitor the product launch process to ensure proper quality assessment in and around regulatory packaging, RM & manufacturing process.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on all relevant regulations and standards applicable to industry.
- Ensure products and processes comply with all regulatory requirements, including labeling, safety, and ingredient restrictions.
Supplier Quality Management:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and ingredients used in product formulations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of packing materials (primary secondary & tertiary used in product formulations.
- Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to assess and improve their quality performance.
Customer Feedback and Complaints:
- Establish processes for collecting and analyzing customer feedback and complaints.
- Take corrective and preventive actions to address customer concerns and improve product quality.
Training and Development:
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of quality data, testing results, and compliance documentation.
- Generate regular quality reports for management and regulatory authorities.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential quality and safety risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Investigate and report any product recalls or quality-related incidents.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve product quality, manufacturing processes, and efficiency.
- Implement quality improvement tools and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience in quality management, preferably in the personal care or cosmetics industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
