SQL Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled SQL Developer with 3+ years of experience to join our data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing robust SQL queries and data solutions, primarily leveraging Snowflake. This role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and hands-on experience with various data tools and platforms.

This is an on-site position, requiring the candidate to work from our office 5 days a week. There is no work from-home opportunity for this role.

Key Responsibilities :

- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes.

- Develop efficient and scalable SQL solutions for data analysis, reporting, and application integration.

- Perform performance tuning of SQL queries and database objects to ensure optimal query execution times.

- Work extensively with Snowflake to design, develop, and manage data warehouses and data marts.

- Utilize Snowflake's unique features for data ingestion, processing, and querying.

- Collaborate with data engineers to integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse.

- Gain solid work experience and understanding of AWS S3 for data storage and management.

- Utilize Apache Airflow for orchestrating data pipelines and automating data workflows.

- Use GitHub for source code management, version control, and collaborative development of SQL scripts and data pipelines.

- Contribute to the monitoring of data pipelines and system performance, leveraging tools like Grafana for dashboarding and alerting.

- Support data visualization and reporting efforts by providing clean and reliable data.

- Identify and resolve data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and operational problems related to SQL queries and data processes.

- Provide support for existing data solutions and respond to ad-hoc data requests.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SQL queries, database schemas, and data

pipelines.

Must-Have Qualifications :

Experience : 3+ years of hands-on experience in writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL queries.

Database Proficiency : Proven experience with Snowflake as a primary data warehousing platform.

Cloud & Tools :

- Solid work experience and understanding of AWS S3 for data storage.

- Practical experience with GitHub for version control.

- Working knowledge of Apache Airflow for data pipeline orchestration.

- Familiarity with Grafana for monitoring and dashboarding.

Work Arrangement : Ability to work 5 days from the office with no work-from-home opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have ) :

- Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP) or databases.

- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python for data manipulation.

- Understanding of data modeling principles (e.g., Kimball, Inmon).

- Prior experience in an agile development environment.
