Senior Manager/Associate Director - MEAN/MERN Stack Development (12-15 yrs)

Job Overview :

The MMC Tech department is looking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Systems Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the architecture of our enterprise applications, ensuring they meet business requirements, align with industry best practices, and support the organization's strategic goals. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, development teams, and solution architects to ensure the successful delivery of scalable, secure, and innovative enterprise applications. You will also be collaborating with the MMC Enterprise Architecture team on standards, practices and policies, ensuring that they are adopted efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop the architecture of our enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements, scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions, considering both functional and non-functional requirements.

- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to support the application architecture, considering factors such as scalability, interoperability, and ease of maintenance.

- Define the high-level structure, components, and interactions between them to ensure a cohesive and extensible application architecture.

- Promote the use of architectural patterns, best practices, and design principles to ensure consistency and quality across applications.

- Drive the development and adoption of reusable components, libraries, and frameworks to improve development efficiency and maintainability.

- Collaborate with Solution and Data Architects to ensure alignment with the overall Enterprise Architecture Technical strategy and standards.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, and best practices.

- Conduct architectural reviews and provide feedback to development teams to ensure compliance with the defined architecture and quality standards.

- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to Enterprise Application architecture, and provide recommendations for their adoption.

Experience Required :

- Experience in using open-source development stacks such as MEAN and MERN.

- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

- In-depth knowledge of application architecture principles, practices, and technologies.

- Strong expertise in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures for enterprise applications.

- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and technology, including various cloud platforms and deployment models

- Experience in evaluating and selecting technologies, frameworks, and tools for enterprise application development.

- Proficiency in designing and implementing architectural patterns, such as microservices, event-driven architecture, or service-oriented architecture.

- Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS or Azure.

- Experience in designing and implementing integration solutions, including API design and integration patterns.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and development teams.

- Agile delivery experience using methodologies like Scrum or SAFe, and tools like Jira and Azure DevOps

- Ability to prioritize and handle work to critical project timelines.

- Ability to quickly establish credibility with multiple technical stakeholders, including executive, engineering, architecture, operations, security, quality assurance, etc.
