Job Title: Senior/Design Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Engage in the design and development of new and existing machines/products/mechanical systems.
• Liaise with clients to fully understand project requirements and communicate effectively with the design and plant teams to ensure accuracy and quality of the design.
• Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise machining/fabrication of components for machine building.
• Collaborate with the shop floor from offshore to ensure design quality and address potential quality issues.
• Identify and resolve potential pitfalls in the machine design and development process.
• Review and inspect final designs and drawings to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-6 years of experience in machine design or a relevant field.
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in Solid Works/Solid Edge proficiency in 3D modelling and parametric design using Solid Edge is essential.
• Experience in machine concept design, detailed design, managing large assemblies in Solid Edge, and incorporating safety guarding.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings and understand project intent and requirements in machine development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Strong knowledge of solid mechanics and strength of materials.
• Familiarity with mechanical standard components.
• Capability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
• Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ASME codes.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
