Network Security Engineer - VPN/Firewall (3-5 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, along with hands-on experience with various security tools and technologies. This role involves ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

- Implement and manage network security solutions, including firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) and VPNs (Cisco).

- Monitor network traffic for security threats and vulnerabilities, responding to incidents as they arise.

- Configure and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking devices and security appliances.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure cloud environments using AWS or GCP.

- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks.

- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect company assets and data.

- Provide L2 and L3 support for network security issues, troubleshooting and resolving incidents promptly.

- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to enhance the security posture of the organization.

Key Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco VPN solutions, and Fortinet security appliances.

- Proficiency in L2 and L3 network support and troubleshooting.

- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or GCP, in a security context.

- Knowledge of networking protocols, security best practices, and compliance standards.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.

Qualifications :

- BE/B.Tech/MCA/MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in network security engineering or a related role.
