Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and implement solutions within the ServiceNow platform, focusing on core ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Knowledge Management).
- Customize and configure ServiceNow applications, forms, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and UI actions.
- Develop and maintain custom applications and modules to meet specific business needs.
- Develop and maintain Service Portal widgets and pages for enhanced user experience.
- Utilize Flow Designer to automate complex business processes and workflows.
- Develop and implement robust integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and other integration methods.
- Experience with Workspace and Employee Centre is highly desirable.
- Write and maintain server-side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes) and client-side scripts (Client Scripts, UI Scripts) using JavaScript.
- Develop and maintain data imports and exports using Transform Maps and other data integration techniques.
- Implement and manage ServiceNow integrations with external systems using various integration methods, including REST and SOAP APIs.
- Understand and implement best practices for ServiceNow scripting and integration.
- Participate in the administration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, including upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow platform issues and incidents.
- Maintain and update ServiceNow documentation, including technical specifications and user guides.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. -
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers. -
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory. Candidates with poor communication skills will not be considered.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of overall work experience, with at least 3+ years of relevant experience in ServiceNow development.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, modules, and functionalities.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, including server-side and client-side scripting.
- Experience with REST and SOAP APIs for ServiceNow integrations.
- Experience with SQL database or relational database skills.
- Experience using Flow Designer.
- Experience with Workspace and Employee Centre is highly desirable.
- ServiceNow Developer certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist) are a significant advantage.
- Development experience with programming languages.
- Experience with source control (Git).
