SAP Master Data Governance Consultant - Implementation & Support (12-14 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a seasoned SAP MDG Technical Lead/Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP Master Data Governance solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in SAP MDG, a strong understanding of data governance principles, and a proven track record of delivering successful MDG projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities :

MDG Solution Design and Architecture :

- Design and architect end-to-end SAP MDG solutions, including data modeling, workflows, and user interfaces.

- Define technical specifications and guidelines for MDG implementations.

- Ensure MDG solutions align with business requirements and data governance policies.

- Design and implement data quality rules and validations.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance on MDG projects.

MDG Configuration and Development :

- Configure and customize SAP MDG components, including data models, UI configurations, and workflows.

- Develop custom ABAP code for MDG enhancements and integrations.

- Implement data replication and distribution processes using SAP MDG.

- Integrate SAP MDG with other SAP and non-SAP systems.

- Develop and maintain data quality dashboards and reports.

Data Governance and Quality :

- Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards.

- Implement data quality monitoring and remediation processes.

- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues.

- Ensure data consistency and accuracy across the enterprise.

Project Management and Collaboration :

- Lead technical design sessions and provide technical guidance to project teams.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

- Manage technical risks and issues, and provide timely resolutions.

- Create and maintain technical documentation.

Performance and Optimization :

- Optimize MDG performance and scalability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MDG implementations.

- Conduct performance tuning.

Required Technical Skills :

SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) :

- Deep understanding of SAP MDG architecture and functionality.

- Extensive experience in configuring and customizing SAP MDG domains (e.g., Material, Customer, Vendor).

- Proficiency in MDG data modeling, UI configuration, and workflow development.

- Strong knowledge of MDG data replication and distribution processes.

- Experience with MDG Consolidation, and MDG Central governance.

ABAP Development :

- Strong ABAP development skills for MDG enhancements and integrations.

- Experience in developing custom BADIs, user exits, and function modules.

- Knowledge of ABAP Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS).

Data Modeling and Database :

- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and database design.

- Experience with SAP HANA and other database technologies.

- Experience with SQL.

Integration Technologies :

- Experience with SAP integration technologies (e.g., IDocs, Web Services, APIs).

- Knowledge of SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI.

Data Quality Tools :

- Familiarity with SAP data quality tools and techniques.

- Experience with data profiling and data cleansing.

SAP Basis :

- Basic understanding of SAP Basis concepts related to MDG.

Workflow :

- Experience with SAP Business Workflow.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

- 12-14 years of experience in SAP MDG implementation and support.

- Proven track record of delivering successful MDG projects.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- SAP Certifications related to MDG are highly desirable.
