Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Assistant Registrar

About the Organization: Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya is a prestigious 109-year-old educational institute with 1,600 students across 12 facilities (7 boys + 5 girls) in 7 locations throughout Maharashtra and Gujarat. We seek a senior-level executive to lead our entire administration from our headquarters in Andheri (W), Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Governance:

• Oversee and implement effective governance practices across all facilities
• Ensure compliance with all relevant educational and regulatory standards
• Develop and maintain institutional policies and procedures

2. Communication:

• Manage internal and external communications
• Act as a liaison between the board, staff, students, and other stakeholders
• Represent the institution in public forums and media interactions

3. Reporting:

• Oversee the preparation and submission of all required reports
• Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems for all aspects of the institution
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

4. Conduct of Meetings:

• Organize and lead key meetings with stakeholders, board members, and staff
• Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items
• Facilitate productive discussions and decision-making processes

5. Office Administration:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the headquarters
• Coordinate administrative functions across all 7 locations
• Oversee budget preparation and financial management

6. Assistance:

• Provide strategic support to the board and other senior leadership
• Assist in developing and implementing long-term strategic plans
• Support fundraising and development initiatives

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in law, Social Sciences, or a related field. Multiple degrees or master's degrees will be an added advantage.
2. Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience, preferably working with NGOs or in a regulatory compliance role.
3. Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian NGO laws and regulations (e.g., FCRA, Societies Registration Act).
4. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and relevant local languages.
5. Organization: Strong organizational and documentation skills.
6. Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and work independently.
7. Technology: Proficiency in MS Office and relevant management software.
