Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Lead with 7 years of dedicated experience to join our data and analytics team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Power BI development, data modeling, and visualization, with a proven ability to lead projects and provide technical guidance. You will be instrumental in transforming complex data into insightful and impactful dashboards and reports that empower strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead Power BI Development : Lead the end-to-end development of complex Power BI reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and intuitive user experience.

- Data Modeling & Transformation : Design, develop, and optimize robust data models (Dimensional, Star Schema, Snowflake) within Power BI using Power Query (M language) and DAX for efficient data transformation and calculation.

- Requirements Gathering : Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and other analysts to understand business requirements, KPIs, and reporting needs.

- Technical Leadership : Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior Power BI developers and analysts, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and data governance policies.

- Performance Optimization : Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports and underlying data models, ensuring fast load times and responsive interactions.

- Data Source Integration : Connect Power BI to various data sources, including databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake), cloud data warehouses, APIs, and other enterprise systems.

- Report Deployment & Management : Manage the deployment, security, and administration of Power BI reports within Power BI Service, including workspace management, access control, and refresh schedules.

- Data Storytelling : Translate complex data sets into clear, compelling data stories and actionable insights for business users.

- Quality Assurance : Ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of data presented in Power BI reports through rigorous testing and validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

- 7 years of dedicated experience in Power BI development and business intelligence.

- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop (Data Modeling, Power Query/M, DAX).

- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.

- Proven experience in designing and optimizing complex data models for performance.

- Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.

- Excellent data visualization skills with a strong eye for UI/UX principles in reporting.

- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and provide technical guidance.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
