Manager - Demand Planner & Forecasting - Sports Accessories Company (3-6 yrs)

Key Responsibilities of a Demand Planner & Forecasting Manager .

Demand Planners are responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts and collaborating with multiple departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to align business processes and strategies.

Their tasks include :

- Creating and maintaining forecast models using historical data, statistical methods, and software tools.

- Conducting market analysis to understand demand drivers and assessing forecast results.

- Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to refine forecasts based on market trends and promotional activities.

- Working closely with the Factory supply chain to match supply with forecasted demand.

- Identifying and resolving supply chain constraints and discrepancies between supply and demand.

- Preparing and presenting forecast and inventory metrics to management teams.

- Regularly reviewing and improving forecasting techniques, methods, and approaches.

Education and Certification Requirements :

- To qualify for a position as a Demand Planner in the Manufacturing industry, candidates typically need the following educational background and certifications:

- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field. A master's degree may be preferred for this positions.

- Professional certifications such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS are highly regarded.

- Proven experience with demand planning software and a strong proficiency in statistical analysis and forecasting methods.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of management and cross-functional teams.

Candidate Requirement :

- MBA in Operations / SCM from top 20 B Schools is mandatory

- Candidates from South Zone Preferred

- Open to ANY Industry SCM experience .
