Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in managing Business Intelligence (BI) reporting projects. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in Agile methodologies and hybrid delivery methods, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects concurrently. The role involves facilitating Scrum ceremonies, tracking project health, managing actions and impediments, and ensuring effective delivery of BI reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
Scrum Facilitation:
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for multiple BI reporting projects.
- Ensure adherence to Agile principles and Scrum practices across all projects.
Project Management:
- Manage and oversee 3-4 BI reporting projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
- Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Velocity Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor and track team velocity and performance metrics to ensure effective sprint execution.
- Create and present reports on project health, including progress, risks, and impediments, to senior management.
Action and Impediment Management:
- Identify and track actions and impediments that impact project progress.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to resolve issues and remove obstacles.
ADO Board Management:
- Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) boards to manage and track project tasks, user stories, and backlog items.
- Ensure that ADO boards are updated accurately and reflect the current state of the project.
Hybrid Delivery Methods:
- Apply hybrid delivery methods where applicable, combining Agile and traditional project management practices to suit project needs.
- Adapt and tailor Agile practices to fit the specific requirements of BI reporting projects.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Facilitate communication between development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Continuous Improvement:
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team feedback and implementing best practices.
- Lead efforts to enhance team performance and project delivery processes
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a strong focus on BI reporting projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) boards, Scrum ceremonies, velocity tracking, and report creation. Experience with BI reporting tools and methodologies is a plus.
- Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile principles and hybrid delivery methods. Experience in applying Agile practices to BI reporting projects.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to various stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve project issues and impediments.
