PHP/Symfony Developer (3-8 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a passionate and skilled PHP Developer with over 3 years of hands-on experience, specializing in the Symfony framework. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in building scalable web applications, performing framework migration and version upgrades, and writing clean, testable code. Experience with database design and unit testing is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using PHP and Symfony Framework.

- Work on Symfony migrations and upgrades from older versions to newer ones.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and QA to deliver high-quality software solutions.

- Develop and optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL queries, procedures, and schemas.

- Write and maintain unit and integration tests using PHPUnit or similar frameworks.

- Perform code reviews, refactor existing code, and ensure adherence to industry best practices.

- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.

- Ensure application performance, scalability, and security.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 3+ years of PHP development experience, with a strong command of Symfony (4.x, 5.x, or 6.x).

- Hands-on experience with Symfony migrations and upgrades (a strong plus).

- Proficiency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.

- Strong experience in unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).

- Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools.

- Good understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services integration.

- Familiarity with Composer, Doctrine ORM, and Twig templating.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice-to-Have :

- Exposure to Docker or containerized environments.

- Experience with API Platform, GraphQL, or microservices architecture.

- Knowledge of front-end frameworks like Vue.js, React, or Angular.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and deployment automation.
