Position Production Support Data Engineer - Talend

Location : Noida/Gurgaon, India

Workdays : The working schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, with Mondays and Tuesdays as weekly offs.

Shift Timings : Shift timings would be 11 AM to 8 PM IST

Job Description : Summary

The incumbent will be part of the Data Operations and Delivery team and will be responsible for overseeing, troubleshooting, and ensuring the stability, performance, and quality of our data systems in production environments. This role includes monitoring data pipelines, resolving data issues, supporting BI dashboards, and collaborating closely with engineering, analytics, and operations teams to maintain, monitor and enhance business-critical processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor and maintain production data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and batch processing jobs in Talend.

- Analyze and fix stored procedures and data flows to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and accurate data delivery.

- Implement alerting and monitoring solutions to proactively detect and resolve data quality or performance issues.

- Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Engineers, and Architects to ensure smooth deployments and updates.

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and drive long-term solutions.

- Develop and maintain runbooks, documentation, and knowledge bases for data operations and incident response.

- Automate repetitive support tasks and improve operational efficiency through scripting and tooling.

- Provide production support coverage on weekends, as part of a shift-based role.

- Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and security standards in all production support activities.

- Support Australian and United States business hours with on-call support when needed

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in information technology or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.

Experience

- 4+ years relevant technical experience

- Experience with Talend Data Integration: Design, develop Talend ETL scripts, creating and deploying end to end Talend Data Integration solution

- Experience in Talend Studio and Talend Cloud.

- Experience in designing, developing, validating and deploying the Talend ETL Pipelines

- Good knowledge with RBDMS, SQL scripting and Stored Procedures.

- Knowledge of Snowflake, Google cloud Platform (GCP) services, Git and Python.

- Automation, orchestrations and Performance Tuning of ETL processes along with implementing Best Practices

- Experience with development, production support and incident management.
