JOB PURPOSE:

To lead the compliance function within the company, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements established by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and other relevant authorities. Responsible for developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate regulatory risks and promote a culture of compliance across the organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/DELIVERABLES:

Establishment of Compliance Framework:

- Develop and maintain a robust compliance framework aligned with the Gallagher group compliance program and IRDAI regulations.

- Regularly monitor and assess compliance with IRDAI regulations, conducting audits and risk assessments to identify potential non-compliance issues.

Policy Development and Implementation:

- Develop, review, and communicate compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with IRDAI regulations and industry best practices.

- Ensure effective implementation of compliance policies and procedures across all levels of the organization.

Training and Awareness:

- Develop and deliver compliance-training programs to enhance employee awareness of regulatory requirements and promote a culture of compliance.

- Provide guidance and support to employees on compliance-related matters, including regulatory inquiries and reporting obligations.

Risk Assessment and Management:

- Conduct risk assessments to identify compliance risks and vulnerabilities, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and controls.

- Monitor key risk indicators and escalate significant compliance issues to senior management and the board of directors.

Regulatory Reporting and Communication:

- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings to IRDAI and other regulatory authorities in a timely and accurate manner.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries and examinations, coordinating responses and interactions with regulators.

- Communicate regulatory updates and changes to relevant stakeholders within the organization, providing guidance on compliance implications.
