a. Refining requirements using Easy Approach to Requirements Syntax (EARS) - Analyze existing requirement lists and groupings. Convert list, grouped, compounded and complex requirements into singular, standalone requirement statements using the Easy Approach to Requirements Syntax (EARS) and EARS pattern (see Annex for guidance).
b. Ruleset assessment - Develop a predefined ruleset focusing on improving the quality of STANDARDSs., Apply the ruleset to the STANDARDSs and analyze conformance and Identify non-conformances or areas for improvement based on the ruleset.
c. Quality enhancement - Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to improve the clarity and effectiveness of STANDARDSs, Implement suggestions and recommendations to enhance the overall quality of STANDARDSs.
d. Documentation and reporting - Document the process, changes made, and improvements achieved, Prepare a comprehensive report summarizing the refining and reformatting efforts, ruleset assessment outcomes, and the resulting enhancements in the Company Standards
e. Risk mitigation and contingency planning - Identify potential risks associated with the refining, reformatting and assessment process of requirement and develop a mitigation strategy and contingency plan to address any unforeseen challenges.

Maintain a consistent style, tone, terminology, and formatting across all deliverables, creating a cohesive and professional output. Ensure all reformatting and improvements (refinements) align with the provided ruleset, complying with the defined criteria for enhancements.
Confirm that the revised Standards meet the original requirement, fulfilling the intended purpose and objectives. Individual requirements with unique identifiers should be accurately assigned to each reformatted requirement, ensuring proper identification.
The refining and reformatting process should encompass all relevant shall statements, leaving no requirements unaddressed. An assessment of recommendations and permissions should be conducted to determine if they can be promoted to a requirement, kept, or demoted to best practices and guidance. Implement feedback from stakeholders, especially SMEs, effectively integrating valuable insights into the final deliverables. Ensure all necessary documentation, including records of changes and versioning, is complete and accessible for reference.
