WORK LOCATION : CHENNAI & BANGALORE

Role & responsibilities :

Designing low voltage secondary systems for power distribution projects, including
transformers, switchgear, distribution panels, and protective relays.
• Developing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for low voltage
secondary systems.
• Performing system calculations to optimize system performance and efficiency.
• Participating in site surveys, inspections, and commissioning activities to verify system
integrity and compliance with specifications.
• Staying updated on industry standards, codes, regulations, and emerging technologies
related to low voltage secondary systems.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and knowledge
sharing within the organization.
• Experience of AC Electrical Substation Equipments on low voltage side (C&P and auxiliary
power)
• Can prepare/validate Main Single line diagrams, Protection Single line diagrams & Auxiliary
Single line diagrams.
• Knowledge on Electrical power system protection concepts
• Experience in producing Auxiliary power consumer list
• Understanding of LV AC/DC Power & Control cable sizing and distribution
• Experience in preparing & Understanding ITP for all Electrical packages.
• Electrical packages involved - MV & LV Systems, Transformers, Electrical control & protection
Cubicle/Panels, Marshalling Box, Junction Box, Battery & Charger Systems, DG, UPS
• Control & protection Schemes
• Cable Schedule & Interconnection Schedule & Layout engineering.
• Worked in Team and interfaces with various internal and external partners
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (5-10 years) in designing, developing, and implementing low voltage
secondary systems for power distribution applications.
• Knowledge in Engineering Base software for creating engineering cubicle Arrangement
drawings
• Good Knowledge in Caneco BT software for Cable engineering
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribution fundamentals, and low
voltage equipment.
• Experience with protective relay coordination, arc flash analysis, and fault current
calculations.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes such as IEC, NEC, IEC
