Lead Backend Developer
RapiPays Neo Banking team is building a platform to offer unparalleled banking and financial services to the
customers. We strive to offer products which make it easier for customers to manage bank accounts, operate securely,
onboard swiftly, providing recommendations through our data platform. Our team is responsible for the architecture
and design of highly available, scalable and responsive front-end applications (Mobile & Web) that help customers
interact with banks and avail services to provision their financial needs. We believe India is witnessing a financial
services and technology revolution, which is changing the way we manage our money. We see ourselves as facilitating
this change, making it easier for customers through technology.
We are looking for a hands-on and self-driven Technical Lead who loves technical challenges. He/she will be
laying down the foundations for our Neo Banking core engine, and apps in a highly collaborative, fast-paced,
high energy environment. We are building a platform for customer banking, secure onboarding, integrations
with external systems, wallet, payments, lending, risk mitigation and analytics for driving intelligence from
customer interaction patterns. Your work will touch systems at scale that reach customers all across, empower them with our financial offerings, while having a significant impact on our business.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and build solutions for complex business workflows
• Take end to end ownership of components and be responsible for the subsystems that you work on
from design, code, testing, integration, deployment, enhancements, etc.
• Write high-quality code and taking responsibility for their task
• 50 percent individual contribution and 50 percent team management.
• Task allocation to team and monitoring their task till closure.
• Mentor junior engineers
• Communicate and collaborate with management, product, QA, UI/UX teams
• Deliver with quality, on-time in a fast-paced start-up environment
• Lead requirements analysis to understand the business requirement and align appropriate capacity to
solution.
• Be involved in innovation and research activities to understand and identify the solution requirements
aligned to RapiPays vision and business needs.
Minimum Qualification
• Bachelor/Master's in computer science or relevant fields
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Strong sense of ownership
• Excellent Java and object-oriented development skills
• Experience in building and scaling microservices
• Strong problem-solving skills, technical troubleshooting and diagnosing
• Expected to be a role model for young engineers, have a strong sense of code quality and enforce code
quality within the team
• Strong knowledge in RDBMS (MySQL, Postgres)
• Excellent understanding of Debugging performance and optimization techniques
• Experience in AWS technologies, ELK stack, Spring boot, Kafka, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience in developing any large scale Experience in cloud technologies
• Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
