Job Description
- The candidate will be part of a CAD organization working in the intelligent embedded microcontroller and Wi-Fi projects
- The candidate will work as part of 3rd party IP team and will be responsible to acquire, qualify, release, and support all 3rd party physical and soft Intellectual Property (IP) used at Silicon Labs
- Work closely with the SoC implementation, design and verification teams to understand requirements and set of challenges, and to develop solution to improve work productivity
- Obtain requirements (e.g. characteristics of foundation IP, soft design RTL IP, etc required for a specific project) from internal teams and identify appropriate IP suppliers
- Engage in evaluation and benchmarking of IPs provided by various suppliers
- Plan, analyze, implement and maintain scalable software solutions to manage and verify IP collaterals from external providers
- Collaborate with EDA and IP vendors to explore IP solutions, gather IP requirements, and drive IP improvements to ensure bug-free IP deliverable
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development through design cycle
- BSEE (or equivalent) with 6+ years of related professional experience
- Experience in IP acquisition, installation, and support
- Proficiency in Python, Perl, Makefile, skill, Tcl
- Deep understanding of digital, analog, mixed signal, power and SOC IC s development flows and methodologies as well as typical IP needs
- Experience with third-party design and verification IP early bring up and integration
- Experience working effectively with both internal and external teams, vendors, and customers
- Familiarity with physical IP collaterals such as liberty, LEF, GDS or verilog
- Excellent team work, communication and interpersonal skills with both internal teams and external vendors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to distill complex ideas into well-articulated and easy to understand message
- Excellent complex problem solving, debugging, and brainstorming skills with persistence to deal with high degree of ambiguity and drive clarity in key areas
