Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Sales Management:
    • Achieve or exceed sales targets and market share objectives for large home appliances within the assigned area.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth in line with company objectives.
    • Regularly monitor sales performance and take corrective actions to ensure target achievement.
  • Dealer & Distributor Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and retailers.
    • Ensure effective channel management by onboarding new dealers and optimizing the performance of existing ones.
    • Conduct regular meetings and reviews with key accounts to drive business and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Market Development:
    • Identify and explore new business opportunities within the assigned area.
    • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including product launches, promotional campaigns, and sales programs.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and implement local promotions to enhance product visibility and brand awareness.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, motivate, and manage the area sales team, including Sales Executives and Territory Sales Officers.
    • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to the team to ensure high performance and target achievement.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve individual and team performance.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and queries, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Build long-term relationships with key clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring smooth coordination between customers and internal teams.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting:
    • Keep a close watch on competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs.
    • Provide regular feedback and reports to senior management on market trends, competitor movements, and product performance.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and account details using CRM and other reporting tools.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is an advantage.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a similar role, managing large home appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, etc.).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing dealer/distributor networks in a competitive environment.
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills:
  • Strong sales acumen and ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence customer decisions and close deals.
  • Market Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of the large home appliances industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.
  • Familiarity with sales channels, market trends, and competitive landscape in the assigned area.
  • Leadership & Team Management:
  • Experience in managing and motivating a sales team to achieve high performance.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and lead teams to meet sales objectives.
  • Communication & Relationship Building:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • IT Proficiency:
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, MS Office, and other sales management tools.
