Product Development Specialist

Within this role, you will be responsible for developing the market for Rijk Zwaan crops, searching for new business opportunities. You will meet with customers and give professional agronomic advice, make recommendations for variety choice for the market as well as introduce new varieties to growers in the state of Rajasthan (Bhilwara) through trials, events and frequent visits.

Within this role, you will also make the sales forecast based on customers' requirements and long term planning for the state. Thorough knowledge of variety assortment is essential. Furthermore, you will work in close cooperation with Regional Sales Managers, Crop Specialists, Trial Specialists, Chain Managers and Product Promotion Officers.

You take initiative easily and you have a commercial and client-focused approach. You are enthusiastic about horticulture and you keep track of the latest developments in this industry. You are a good communicator and you are motivated to help growers. As you will be working within international environment, fluent English is important.

You are based in Rajasthan and you are willing to travel locally and abroad. You are an independent self-starter.

As Product Development Specialist you will be part of the Rijk Zwaan India Commercial Team. This team develops an integrated crop and client strategy for the region and is well connected with relevant specialists in the global Rijk Zwaan organization. We are actively breeding new vegetable varieties for India in several crops and focus particularly on the protected crops and hydroponic markets. New varieties from the Rijk Zwaan breeding programs are distributed in India through our well established commercial partners.
