Role

Automation Reliability Engineers shape the next level of Enterprise Cloud Services offerings for multiple scenarios within the company. You will join a team of motivated individuals in a well-established broader group of automation experts.

What you ll do

Automation reliability and engineering team (ARE) at SAP Enterprise Cloud Services team plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of our systems and applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain our infrastructure, automate processes, and optimize performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of our products and services.

Responsibilities:

Develop and create agile methodologies and DevOps practices to optimize and establish a reliable automation infrastructure.
Design resilient architectures to ensure high availability and reliability of systems and applications.
Analyse system outages and create decision tree for faster resolution of the issues.
Implement self-healing mechanisms and automated remediation actions to mitigate issues proactively.
Monitor resource utilization trends and performance metrics to identify potential outliers.
Define meaningful SLIs and establish corresponding SLOs to measure system reliability and performance.

What you bring

Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 6 to 14 years of relevant work experience.
Proven expertise in SAP Technologies (SAP NetWeaver certification preferred). SAP Basis knowledge or experience is mandatory.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, system administration, and security principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity in Data science tools, Machine learning fundamentals and algorithms.
Experience in designing and implementing automated tests.
Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Shell, or similar.
Knowledge on configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is an added advantage.
