Shift - US Shift- 7:00 PM to 3:30 A.M( Night Shift )

Job Summary: The Air Freight Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional service to customers by managing their air freight shipments, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery. This role involves coordinating with airlines, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Interaction:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding air freight inquiries, bookings, and shipments.
• Provide accurate information on air freight services, pricing, and delivery times.
• Address and resolve customer complaints and issues with a focus on providing effective solutions and maintaining customer satisfaction.

2. Shipment Management:

• Coordinate and manage air freight shipments from origin to destination.
• Monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers regarding any delays or changes.
• Ensure all required documentation (e.g., air waybills, customs documents) is accurate and complete.

3. Coordination and Communication:

• Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, and other logistics partners to facilitate smooth transportation.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, sales) to ensure customer requirements are met and to resolve any operational issues.
• Negotiate with carriers and service providers to obtain the best rates and service levels for customers.

4. Problem-Solving:

• Identify and address potential issues proactively to minimize disruptions to air freight operations.
• Implement corrective actions and communicate with customers to resolve any challenges that arise during the shipping process.

5. Record-Keeping and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, shipments, and transactions.
• Prepare reports and analysis on shipment performance, customer feedback, and service metrics.

6. Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs and import/export requirements.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding air freight operations and customer service standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree or higher in logistics, business, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in air freight, logistics, or customer service.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in relevant software and systems (e.g., cargo management systems, MS Office).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with air freight procedures, customs regulations, and industry best practices is preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Office environment with occasional requirements to handle issues outside of regular business hours.
• May involve occasional travel to visit customers or attend industry events.
