Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Azure Database Administrator (DBA) with 5-8 years of experience to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure cloud services, integrated with robust database management skills, particularly in MS SQL. The candidate should be proficient in handling both on-premises and cloud databases and be able to manage and optimize database performance in an Azure environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain Azure databases, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

- Integrate and optimize databases within the Azure cloud environment.

- Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, implementing solutions to ensure system stability and performance.

- Perform database backups, restores, and recovery operations.

- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business needs.

- Conduct regular database performance tuning and optimization.

- Ensure compliance with security policies and data protection regulations.

- Manage and support on-premises databases, as well as migration to the cloud.

- Stay updated with the latest Azure and database technologies, and provide recommendations for improvements.

Required Skills :

- Azure Cloud : Extensive experience with Azure cloud services, specifically in relation to database management.

- MS SQL : Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.

- Database Integration : Proven experience in integrating databases within Azure environments.

- On-Premises and Cloud Databases : Solid understanding and hands-on experience with both on-premises and cloud-based databases.

- SQL : Proficiency in SQL scripting and query optimization is a strong advantage.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with database migration from on-premises to cloud environments.

- Familiarity with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and related services.

- Understanding of data security and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
