Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual Testing (2-7 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced QA/Senior QA Tester to ensure that our web application meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of QA methodologies, experience in manual testing, and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.

- Perform manual testing on web platforms, ensuring all functionalities and performance metrics meet project requirements.

- Perform test execution for complex systems including functional, integration, system, and regression testing.

- Conduct thorough regression testing to verify that new changes do not affect existing functionalities.

- Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

- Identify, document, and track software defects through their lifecycle using defect tracking tools, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues promptly.

- Conduct usability testing to assess user experience and provide feedback for improvement.

- Work within Agile or Scrum development environments to ensure alignment with project timelines and delivery goals.

- Analyse and communicate test results, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements :

- 2-7 years of professional experience as a QA Tester

- Strong expertise in manual testing for web applications.

- Proficiency in creating and maintaining detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA).

- Experience with functional, integration, system, regression, and usability testing.

- Strong knowledge of testing in Agile or Scrum environments.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk and ensure high-quality outcomes.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of SQL for database testing and data validation.

- Expertise in manual web application testing, test plan creation, and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).

- Experience in functional, integration, system, and regression testing within Agile/Scrum environments.

- Strong analytical skills and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
