Senior Test Automation Engineer - Playwright Testing (6-10 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer with a strong focus on Playwright. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in test automation, with deep expertise in Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test suites to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for automation. -

Responsibilities :

Test Automation Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.

- Utilize JavaScript or TypeScript to create efficient and maintainable test automation frameworks.

- Implement and maintain test automation infrastructure and pipelines.

- Develop and execute cross-browser testing strategies using Playwright.

- Handle Shadow DOM elements effectively within Playwright tests.

Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) :

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps (priority on Jenkins and Azure DevOps).

- Configure and manage test environments within CI/CD pipelines.

- Monitor and analyze test results, providing feedback to development teams.

API Testing :

- Develop and maintain automated API tests using Rest Assured.

Version Control :

- Utilize Git or similar version control systems for code management and collaboration.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure test coverage and quality.

- Communicate test results and issues effectively.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Problem Solving and Debugging :

- Troubleshoot and debug test automation issues.

- Identify and resolve root causes of defects.

Agile/Scrum Methodologies :

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and execution.

Requirements :

- Experience : 6+ years of experience in test automation.

- Playwright Expertise : Strong proficiency in Playwright.

- Programming Skills : Strong expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript for test automation.

- CI/CD : Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps (priority on Jenkins and Azure DevOps).

- API Testing : Experience with Rest Assured.

- Version Control : Knowledge of Git or similar version control systems.

- Cross-Browser Testing : Experience with cross-browser testing.

- Shadow DOM : Experience with Shadow DOM handling.

- Problem Solving : Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Communication : Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Teamwork : Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Experience with cloud testing platforms.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
