Job Description:

R&D Support Services

Laboratory Cleaning

Covered in section 3.1.5

Waste management

Covered in section 6

Glass Washing

Please Note: Provider will assure all chemicals and applications are approved by Pfizer EH&S, Quality, and are compliant with applicable law and AHJ.

Outcomes - Pfizers expected outcomes are:

Dirty Glassware is collected regularly as required by laboratory use

Clean glassware is returned to laboratory storage locations

Adequate clean glassware will be available in the laboratory

The following service will be provided

Dirty glassware is collected on a daily basis from all labs

Washed and dried before returning back clean the following day

Remove all glassware that is beyond repair from circulation

Arrange for any broken items that can be repaired to be sent to clients vendor

Order all the acids, detergents and consumables on behalf of the client, ensuring supplies are always available

Glassware will be transported in appropriate containers/trolleys

Laboratory Stewards

This service covers the movement of chemicals, solvents and other laboratory equipment and consumables.

Outcomes - expected outcomes are:

Laboratory stocks of chemicals and solvents are maintained at agreed levels

Chemicals, solvents, and consumables are moved safely around the facility as required

Laboratory chemical, solvent and consumable stocks will be checked daily

Top up will be from the local stores or by direct ordering from third party suppliers

Movement of stock will be within appropriate containers/trolleys

Stockroom Management

This service covers the ordering, receipt, storage and stock management of chemicals, solvents and laboratory consumables, either in designated stores or in laboratories

Outcomes - Pfizer’s expected outcomes are:

Minimum levels of stocks are maintained

Appropriate segregation of stocks

Stock management systems are used where required

Minimum levels of stock of agreed chemicals, solvents and consumables will be agreed

Inventory systems will be used as required

Orders will be raised on third parties to maintain the stock

Stock will be receipted, stored and segregated in appropriate places

Stock will be routinely checked to maintain the agreed minimum stock level

The team will ensure that all policies and procedures for the storage, handling, delivery dispatch and transportation of chemicals are adhered to at all times.

Cardice (Solid Carbon dioxide) delivery

Outcomes - Pfizer’s expected outcomes are:

Minimum levels of stocks are maintained

All Dry Ice stock points will be checked and replenished on a regular basis. A full assessment of the requirements and usage will be monitored and stock managed accordingly. The provision of the storage facilities and their maintenance will remain the responsibility of Pfizer

Lab coat dry cleaning and replenishment

Outcomes - Pfizer’s expected outcomes are:

Minimum levels of clean lab coats are maintained

Provide a weekly collection/delivery to include

Collection

Dispatch to vendor

Return management

Delivery to predetermined holding points

Bar-coding of items
