Role & responsibilities

This role is responsible to manage the EDI onboarding.

• The EDI Project Manager supports the procurement to pay function of the business local level. This role will be responsible for updating electronic catalogue a regular basis. There will be the chief liaison across functions in the onboarding of new EDI suppliers and/or adding additional EDI functionality to existing suppliers. The position will be responsible for process flow development, documentation, implementation, and support on both new and existing activities.
• The EDI Project Manager will also serve as a business consultant to internal stakeholders and will advise on best practices in their areas of expertise. In addition, the role will function as the liaison between the business and IT in identifying system needs, writing functional specifications, driving developmental priorities, and testing solutions in the electronic data exchange space.
• The ideal candidate should also be able to serve as the first point of contact in case of technical or process questions from the business regarding relevant EDI functionality. Define eligible suppliers in alignment with the Supply Management team, engage with suppliers for EDI onboarding and track the progress across the different stages, ensure targeted suppliers will be onboarded according to project plan. Monitor progress, identify roadblocks and escalate any issues.
• Prepare and update supplier catalogues and Supply data base in collaboration with the Supply Management team in Dynamic 365.
• Continuous improvement:

Measure / Benchmark Process Performance Indicators (sizing, productivity, compliance, cycle time, cost) and enablers for improvement (simplification, automation, optimization, value added)

Context and main issues

• To automatize our Procurement flows Sodexo decided to implement EDI to support this target of simplification and automation.
• As the EDI Project Manager you will be responsible for driving, planning and completing the implementations with our suppliers and our local Supply Management resources.
• The elaboration of a roadmap for India to be supported.
• The advertised position is seen as the communication interface between the local purchasing and IT departments, the country stakeholders, the global support functions, our external EDI service provider and our suppliers.
• It is extremely important to work in an organized manner and to have an overview of the activities of everyone involved.
• A structured, logically comprehensive action plan is considered extremely important and must be agreed and maintained with all those involved in each ountry.

Quick comprehension, analytical thinking and understanding of a complex matrix organization with local, regional and global stakeholders will be extremely helpful.

Main assignments

Responsible to onboard supplier on EDI

• Establish and lead EDI file feed implementation onboarding calls with new suppliers (full P2P flow) and liaise with project team.
• Communicate file specification requirements and answer related questions.
• Manage supplier relationships directly or via local regional/country contacts.
• Manage associated risks in liaison with overall Project Manager and the local Supply Management Director, manage and perform End-2-End testing.
• Identify when exceptions to file processing, testing and soft errors should be considered.
• Analyze file issues and determine the appropriate course of action to resolve errors.
• Communicate file format, data integrity, or other related issues with suppliers and provide directions on the remediation process.
• The EDI Project Manager is responsible for the daily EDI operations and monitoring of the EDI software.
• This role will support the business operations and functionality in solving complex issues in the area of Supply Management
• Ability to manage a project with little or no supervision.
• Support distribution of information/collecting of data
• Test solutions on behalf of the business in User Acceptance Training phase and drive necessary revisions with IT.

Communicating project status to key stakeholders as per agreed project governance on local / regional / global level

Accountabilities

• Establish and lead EDI file feed implementation onboarding calls with suppliers for the following messages: PRICAT, ORDER, DESADV, RECADV, INVOIC
• The EDI Project Manager is responsible for the daily EDI operations andmonitoring of the EDI software.

This role will support the business operations and functionality in solving complex issues in the following areas of Supply Chain: Logistics & Distribution and EDI interfaces

Preferred candidate profile

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Cost Accounting or CA.
• 5+ years of technical experience in procure to pay process, accounting and invoice management processes and systems.
• Working knowledge of Dynamic, including technical understanding of system structure.
• Working knowledge of EDI and the transaction in regard to supplier relationships
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
