Staff Engineer - Applications

• Support design-in activities at our customers with detailed product expertise in Infineon Medium Voltage GaN .
• Enabling customer design-in of products and solutions with local support if necessary
• Act as third level customer support with related functions ( FAE ,Sales) on Infineon Medium Voltage GaN
• Write technical article and promotional material together with the other related functions (PMK,PDE) about Infineon Medium Voltage GaN products
• Producing content in support of new Infineon Medium Voltage GaN products
• New product definition/ validation;
• Hardware & designs/ reviews including schematic, layout and component selection for demo boards/ EVBs/ customer requests;
• Deep analysis on products and find the value propositions;
• Technical documentation and promoting materials such as datasheets, technical reference manuals, application notes and knowledge base articles;
• Collaborate and share your knowledge with R&D, Validation,Verification and Production Test teams
• Contributing to major product cross-functional teams for both product development and customer supporting;
• Develop and conduct trainings and workshops in your area of technical expertise for Field Application Engineers or customers
• Prototyping and producing requirements definitions for new application and solutions;

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, Computer Science or similar field
• Strong understanding of switching power supplies (SMPS) and power supply topologies (AC/DC and DC/DC
• At least 5+ years of professional experience in product application engineering
• Ability in guiding complex problems to a solution by technically advising teams and consolidating their deliveries
• Experience in dealing with customers and working as interface between internal R&D and external partners
• Joy in travelling for work possibly once in a year also intercontinental
• Teamwork, self-discipline/ motivated/ innovative and pro-active;
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
