Job Description
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 3-5 Years
Roles and Responsibilites:
- Responsible for managing and maintain IMDS data base as per customer request.
- IMDS data management, supplier communication, compliance monitor (such as RoHS, REACH, GADSL and ELV), material substitution analysis, reporting and documentation.
- Understanding of parts and how they are applied in the construction of Bom
- Bom Analysis by differentiating In house and bought parts
- Coach/guide supplier to bring onboard in IMDS portal.
- Contacting the suppliers through mail to receive the IMDS information
- Maintaining a supplier tracker for the parts contacted through mail and regular follow up
- Validating the Incoming MDS data sheets from suppliers through different IMDS standard recommendations
- IMDS part creation for inhouse manufactured parts
- Based on customer requirements, Sharing the final Validated MDS to customer and aligning
Desired Skills:
- Good understanding of the basics of engineering materials and polymers.
- Hands on experience in IMDS like data management, supplier communication, compliance monitor(such as RoHS, REACH, GADSL and ELV), material substitution analysis, reporting and documentation.
- Good communication skill to co-ordinate with supplier and customer to fulfill the IMDS requirements.
- Hands on experience in excel tool for BOM analysis.
- Good learning agility to be updated on new standard.
- Creo and windchill knowledge is added advantage.
- Knowledge in the field of refrigeration equipment and in the field of mechanical structures are added advantage.
