Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Head to lead and manage all commercial, financial, purchasing, and P&L responsibilities for our auto components division. The role demands strong business acumen, operational expertise, and leadership capabilities to drive profitability, ensure supply chain efficiency, and maintain financial integrity in a dynamic and competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute long-term business strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Drive growth, profitability, and market share in line with corporate objectives.
- Collaborate with functional heads (Sales, R&D, Operations, etc.) to align commercial goals.
2. P&L Management:
- Full ownership of the business unit's Profit & Loss.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
- Optimize cost structures, improve margins, and identify revenue-enhancing opportunities.
3. Commercial Operations:
- Oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and customer relationship management.
- Ensure compliance with commercial policies and regulations.
- Drive new business development and key account management.
4. Procurement & Supply Chain:
- Lead strategic sourcing, vendor development, and supplier negotiations.
- Ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality-driven procurement processes.
- Build a resilient and agile supply chain to meet business demands.
5. Financial Oversight:
- Work closely with the CFO/Finance Head to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, audits, and internal controls.
- Monitor working capital, cash flows, and capital expenditures.
6. Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing cross-functional teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA/PGDM in Finance, Operations, or Strategy (preferred)
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive/Industrial Engineering (preferred)
- 25-30 years of total experience with at least 5-10 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in managing P&L, procurement, and finance in the auto component or allied industries
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
