Project Manager-Syngenta

The purpose of this role is to manage and deliver multiple IT / business development projects using traditional / agile methodologies (Scrum/Spotify/LEAN) within agreed budget, time and quality. The incumbent ensures the success of the project by managing all projects from initiation to closure with an outcome of achieving desired business value

• Deliver IT projects using agile methodologies (Scrum/Spotify/LEAN)
• Setup and manage right sized project organization which contains needed resources with required competencies
• Resolve conflicts/remove obstacles and help teams implement changes effectively.
• Manage each projects scope and timeline
• Be a key contact and manage communications effectively with internal & external stakeholders
• Ensure high quality deliverables/MVP at end of each phases/iterations
• Provide regular project status versus plan, risk and issues, decisions by having regular and transparent communications within all stakeholders of the project.
• Help build a productive and proactive environment where team own the product and enjoy working on it
• Work with cross-functional platform and architectural teams to define and resolve dependencies
• Help teams implement changes effectively.
• Guide teams to higher agile maturity
• Accountable for project documentation (e.g. solution design, go-live reviews, capital proposal)

Experience

• Overall 9 - 13 years of project delivery / development experience gained in large / complex organizations
• Min. 5 years of project management experience with at least 3 years in managing projects using agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver large, complex, high profile/value projects
• Proven skills in leading the development and implementation of IT and Functional strategies
• Management of senior stakeholders up to EVP level.
• Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams and proven ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes
• Demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives
• Advanced level of proficiency in planning, change management and problem solving and able to resolve issues of a highly complex and strategic nature
• Good to have experience managing functional SAP related projects in Finance or Procurement (SAP FICO, AP, AR, SAP Ariba or similar experiences)
• Experience of driving and leading innovative solutions
• Detailed level of understanding of agile techniques and processes and how they can be applied to solve both Business and IT solutions
• Agile certified / accredited
• Project management certification preferred (e.g PMI, Prince2)
• Possesses significant level of Agile PM background
• Ability to work precisely on a very detailed level whist maintaining focus on the higher-level objectives to ensure appropriate allocation of time and resources
• Ability to consistently gather data and to provide effective reporting
• Able to manage high levels of uncertainty and ambiguity in a dynamic environment which is sometimes hostile
• Ability to drive outcomes and operate hands-on when needed
• Sound change and people management expertise Cultural awareness, international experience
• Strong communication skills with ability to effectively engage and coach the stakeholders 
• Experience in working with agile tools like JIRA, Mural etc.
