Dev Ops Developer \/ SRE

Job Description

PURPOSE

The position is to bring in a SRE and Automation Engineer to support set of applications from production and QA standpoint and automate process flows assuming the responsibilities mentioned below.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support applications hosted in Azure Kubernetes cluster
• Support applications hosted in On-Prem data center
• Support functions
• Availability of applications according to the set SLO s.
• Application Performance Monitoring, building dashboards for the application and setting up right alerts.
• Supporting application deployment activities coordinating with development teams
• Managing CICD pipelines and testing to make sure the pipelines are working properly.
• Understanding the applications business functions and automate repetitive processes.
• Preparing performance metrics and sharing with immediate manager and stakeholders.
• Building automated pipeline for creating new resource creation in Azure, account creation / modification for users to application resource groups etc.,

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of development experience required
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
• Extensive CI/CD development experience is required, Preferably using Jenkins pipelines.
• Knowledge in troubleshooting Java and JavaScript based application issues by looking at log files, traces and metrics etc.,
• Prior knowledge working with Terraform would be a plus
• Fluent in Linux and Windows
• AZ-104 Certification required.
• Proficient with one or more programming languages: Python, Java / Groovy and JavaScript, .
• Experience with at least one DB platform: PostgreSQL (preferred), SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, or MySql.
• Experience with at least one of the tools: Dynatrace (Open Telemetry is a plus)
• Experience working with Docker and container orchestration technology Kubernetes.
• Strong decision-making, problem solving and data analysis skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
