Engineering Manager - Microservices Architecture (8-13 yrs)

Responsibilities :

• Establish a technical vision with the team.
• Facilitate technical discussions and arbitrate technical decisions.
• Collaborate and participate with architecture on design principles and implementation plans.
• Design and uphold technical delivery practices and be the technical voice of your team.
• Drive Modulr's overall quality practices within the team's technical deliverables.
• Coach and mentor engineers.
• Coordinate decisions with stakeholders.
• Contribute code to the Modular Platform.

• Java is Preferable but object-orientated language experience is acceptable.
• REST API Design.
• Previous technical leadership skills and experience leading teams of up to 5 people.
• Experience with micro-service architectures, service ownership and performance.
• Worked in high-growth engineering departments.
• Influenced and embedded engineering practices and cultures.
• The successful candidate will have a track record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.

• Have excellent organisational skills, enabling you to expertly plan deliveries.

• Naturally curious, and can demonstrate learning technologies that are still in their infancy and understand where best to use them in your applications.
• Comfortable delegating when necessary, taking into consideration the skill set and experience levels of your engineers.
