Associate Manager - Product Design (4-8 yrs)

Role & Responsibilities :

Were seeking a dynamic and driven Designer looking to move into the Design Manager track or early in career Design Managers looking for a change, to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact by contributing & managing the mobile experiences for our consumers.

Youll work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, tackling challenging projects and contributing to a product that is rapidly transforming the way businesses operate globally.

What we are looking for in our Associate Manager, Product Design :

- Translate a product idea into a structured workflow and guiding the team in designing the end-to-end user journey

- Zoom in to micro-interactions or user jobs/tasks to guide other designers starting out in the team and zoom out to spar the workflows & user journeys with stakeholders across Design, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Research etc.

- Drive the team in adopting a mobile-first approach, ensuring seamless, user-friendly experiences across devices. Focus on optimizing interactions, accessibility, and responsiveness to improve mobile experiences

- Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, proactively identifying opportunities to refine and enhance the product for continuous improvement.

- Present design solutions through compelling narratives, use cases, and interactive prototypes to align stakeholders

- Partner with Product Managers to absorb Research inputs, Customer signals, and signals from the market to redesign existing journeys to make them easy for the user

- Drive design discovery sessions, partner for interviewing users, and be able to draw meaningful insights

- Enhance and refine Uniqodes design system while collaborating with partner design teams to uphold high design standards.

Ideal Candidate :

- 4+ years of Product/UX Design experience.

- Must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Design or allied fields.

- At least 2-3 years managing or leading a design team in terms of design craft.

- Expertise in mobile UX best practices and user-centered design (UCD).

- Ability to drive design thinking sessions and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

- Understanding of design best practices, methodologies, and patterns to bring them into the design at hand

- Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

- Curious, resourceful, and a team player with a passion for solving real-world problems.

- Proficient with design tools like Figma, Miro etc (but adaptable to other tools).

- Good understanding of engineering stacks and the product lifecycle.

- Strong sense of ownership, with an eye for great design and a commitment to crafting exceptional user experiences.

- Open to feedback with a proactive attitude toward addressing gaps.

- Experience talking to customers and gathering valuable feedback.

- Proven ability to guide and mentor junior designers.

- A strong portfolio showcasing your design craft, problem-solving approach, and the value delivered to users.

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have) :

- Experience with B2C product design and development.

- Familiarity with stakeholder management and data-driven decision-making.

- Understanding of financial metrics and how design decisions can impact them.
