Technical Lead

• Accountability for technical delivery of the services of the scrum team.
• Provide technical direction and assistance to developers in the scrum team.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
• Coaching and mentoring of team.
• Facilitating of work between the teams.
• Assess risk proactively, identify mitigations and maintain delivery trajectory.
• Development of secure code using both frontend and backend technologies.
• Systems Integrations using Rest APIs and webhooks.
• Develop within a cloud-based environment using Microsoft stack.
• Screen / user function design for energy market UI.
• Work with the core product team to create new product components and improvements.
• Engage in code-reviews, planning, design and technical discussions.
• Work in an agile development environment with a delivery focus to achieve team goals within sprint timeframes.
• Participate in tech lead forums with other Senior Developers / Technical Leads to solve complex problems which cross domains.
• Work with other Senior Developers / Technical Leads to refine on development standards.
• Work with solutions architects to shape the direction services of the software platform.
• Follow and act on directions of technical leadership or line manager.
• Use learning platforms and resources available to further develop professional and technical skillset.
• Participant in forums/retros to improve on development and other ways of working.
• Deep understanding of the technology stack being used in the project, as well as the ability to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies.
• Lead and manage a team effectively, including delegation, communication, conflict resolution and coaching team members
• Analyze complex problems and develop solutions that meet the technical requirements of the project.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including team members, clients, and project managers.
• Basic understanding of project management principles, including scope management, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders, including design, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure that technical requirements are met.
• Acts as an individual contributor and is expected to be a high producer of work while also helping the team as a lead (70% IC role, 30% - mentoring and coaching the team)

Experience Required:

• Demonstrated experience across both web and application development with a focus on the below technologies and frameworks.
  • Azure
  • .NET, NET Core, C#, SQL
  • Angular, TypeScript
  • NET
  • AKS(Kubernetes)
  • Microservices
  • Design patterns
• Fully versed in tracking and controlling software relating to changes to your source code.
• Proven history across the Microsoft stack and cloud related technologies.
• Experience in delivering end-to-end outcomes and able to articulate these into meaningful business outcomes.
• Other custom SaaS / multitenant / enterprise type software.
• Distributed services using orchestration / events / choreography desirable.

• Experience in Jira, Confluence, Github, Azure Devops and modern dev tooling is desirable.

Qualifications Required:

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science / Software Engineering beneficial.
• Azure / AWS certification beneficial
