Position Overview:
PEG focusses on driving new initiatives through a formal and robust methodology and tool set. The candidate will be liaising with various business SMEs to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications. The candidate should have the ability to participate in Requirements Definition and Functional Specification exercises on system enhancements & new projects, as a Business Analyst.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage projects as well as optimize and streamline business processes to drive efficiency and productivity
- The primary responsibility is to elicit, analyze, validate & specify the real needs of the project stakeholders, including customers and end users
- The BA will work with different User department and at a high level of quality in a timely manner
- Basic level of expertise in overall systems design and will be knowledgeable about the basic concepts of general insurance business
- Actively participate in requirement reviews to ensure compatibility and interoperability of computing systems
- Basic Understanding of Insurance Industry strategies New Business, multi-channel structures, Distribution setup, Policy Servicing approach, etc.
- Exposure to Functional Testing
Education & experience requirements:
- Preferable a Masters degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related fields
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred
- Lean Six Sigma certification or process improvement experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (JIRA, MS Project, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail. Highly self-motivated and directed
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
- Strong customer service orientation
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to manage project stakeholders
