Mep Design Coordinator

We are hiring an experienced MEP Design Coordinator to oversee and manage the design and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for a large-scale industrial project in Sanand, Gujarat.

Key Responsibilities

1. Estimate and scope MEP trades during conceptual design to construction drawings of industrial projects.
2. Review MEP designs, DBR, contract documents, making suggestions/modifications as clients representative to MEP consultants.
3. Manage and coordinate with MEP consultants throughout duration of the project (from Conceptual design to groundbreaking during Pre-construction stage & from ground breaking to commissioning and turnover to owner in construction)
4. Assist scheduling department with developing detailed CPM schedules for all MEP installation activities, including cost and resource loading
5. Work with Superintendent on project logistics and temporary facility plans
6. Review and approve material and equipment for MEP systems prior to installation
7. Monitor the installation and start-up of MEP systems and commissioning of project with Engineer & Owner
8. Coordinate activities, materials procurement and other related activities with Project Manager and Field Staff
9. Coordinate progress with site MEP execution team and prepare appropriate MIS reports to top management.
10. Good understanding of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low-voltage systems
11. Excellent understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes as they relate to construction of project

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 8 to 12 years of experience in MEP/HVAC design coordination, preferably in industrial projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical SLDs, and piping layouts.
• Experience in cross-functional coordination and client-facing roles.
• Knowledge of industrial ventilation, pressurization, and retrofit systems.
