Position Title : QA Head

Location : Andheri, Mumbai

Qualifications : Bachelors Degree in IT/ Computer Education or similar field

Experience Required : 12-15 Years

Employment type : Full-time

Work Type : 5 Days/week (Hybrid) (3 Days WFO & 2 Days WFH)

Key responsibilities :

- Defining overall QA strategy for an enterprise scale software platform, including end goals, for different types of deliveries e.g. patch verses major release

- Establishing or revising the overall process and artifacts for each phase of testing including unit testing, Integration testing etc.

- Optimizing the usage of new or existing testing tools including test case management and test automation tools

- Implement new testing methods and strategies to move toward a continuous delivery model leveraging our agile development process and our automated Dev Ops methodology

- Developing or revising QA metrics to track overall software quality as well as quality of software delivered to clients

- Managing the overall testing process for major deliveries. Coordinate testing activities with internal and external Test leads on a daily/weekly basis as required.

- Monitor and control testing activities against planned budget and quality gates

- Identify the gap in testing methods, Automation and Manual

- Good understanding of Automation Framework (Selenium preferred)

- Implement performance, load, and stress testing strategies using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or Load Runner.

- Identify opportunities to integrate AI/ML-based automation in QA processes.

- Define KPIs for measuring test effectiveness, defect density, and release quality.

- Knowledge in cloud-based testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Good to have: Scripting & programming skills (Java, Python, JavaScript).

- Collaboration & Leadership skills

- Mentor and train QA engineers on test automation, performance testing, and quality processes. Collaborate with development, product management to align on quality objectives.

- Define test strategy, test plan & test approach, more in an Agile structure

- Provide effort estimations and track the test efforts to ensure adequate staffing

- Present a regular progress reporting to management and clients

- Evaluate the Testing Metrics and bring in some value added Test Metrics

- Perform defect management and reporting.

- Provide support to clients for managing & tracking acceptance testing

- Assist customers in designing test cases for acceptance testing phases.

- Analyze and document business requirements in close collaboration with clients/Product Owners and other stakeholders.

- Design and plan the execution of stress and performances testing

- Design, update and execute technical, functional and business test scenarios and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring their reusability

- Manage test environments (installation, baseline definition and maintenance, assessment on environment readiness)

- Manage tools for testing, tracking defects, statistics and requirements coverage reporting

- Document and evaluate the testing results, investigate testing deficiencies

- Contribute to continuous improvement of test management processes, procedures and metrics

- Actively manage client relationships with appropriate communication

Required Skills Set :

- In-depth knowledge of test concepts and methodology

- Good hands on and understanding of Automation Framework (Selenium Preferred)

- Well versed with different levels of testing

- 3 to 5 years' experience managing overall all QA at a software company

- At least 2 years of work experience as a Manager/Lead and strong competences in banking/finance industry or other regulatory environment

- Good working knowledge of ALM tool, Jira X-Ray/Zephyr

- ISTQB Certification or equivalent

- Experience of testing in Agile context: Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, TDD, BDD, API testing

- Working knowledge of Atlassian tool suite e.g. JIRA, Confluence

- Project Management experience

- Well-developed presentation and communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving competences

- Ability to work in a highly challenging, fast-paced and complex environment

- Team player with a proven client-orientation.
