Opportunity Description

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a talented EE Test Lead/ Sr test Engineer , specialising in Automotive Hardware/Embedded components to join our team based in Bengaluru, India

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Expertise in Electromagnetic Compatibility and EMI
• Experience with test equipment and software such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and simulations.
• Knowledge of international EMC standards such as FCC, CISPR, and IEC.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC tests as per various international standards such as IEC, EN, CISPR, ISO, FCC, MIL, DO-160 etc.
• Knowledge of RE, RI, CE, CI, ESD, Surge, EFT, Impulse, V-dips & Int, H&F, PFMF, Telecom Surge, etc. across Automotive, and commercial vehicles
• Detailed knowledge of Environmental tests like Hot and cold chamber test, Climatic test and vibration tests
• Bachelors degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in domain of product engineering and development and system management utilising all the key attributes, with a demonstrable record of delivery of the accountabilities
• In depth knowledge of aggregate and technologies for Electrical Vehicles
• Experience of at least 2 full product development cycles.
• Experience of new technology integration / development for EV Components line DC-AC Inverter/DC-DC Converter/On Board Charger
• Experience of team management.
• Documentation of Technical Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, Timing Plans, Minutes and Actions of Meetings
• Hands-on Experience in Embedded software & hardware development

Key Responsibilities

• Managing Teams technical deliverables, planning, reporting on progress and providing expert knowledge in the area of Electrical Vehicle Components
• Ensuring on time delivery and working to the highest standards possible
• Involve working across technical specialists, adopting new processes and acting as the main point of contact for your specialist area
• Prepare System Specification, FMEA, DVP, System level test specs
• System Delivery including design, release, development and validation plans
• System BOM management & tracking
• Robust concerns resolution
• Review Component & Sub-System Conceptualization Component & Sub-System Design Component
• Sub-system Development Component & sub-system Validation Product Release
• Approve concepts to meet the best practices for development & Implement best practices to find and solve problems in the project
• Guarantee delivery for all projects in line with Development Process and that Project Management KPIs are on track
• Experience of new technology integration / development for EV Components line DC-AC Inverter/DC-DC Converter/On Board Charger
• Guide and Review cost and tech effective solutions and propose. implementation in the project.
• Participate in resolution of escalated issues
• Closely working with the Project Manager / Leaders to identify and specify design activity required, interpret requirements of the Project engineers and design, estimate time to complete and construct a work plan that supports the release schedule
• Co-ordinate & manage the cross functional teams, suppliers to ensure component and system level delivery

Purpose of this Role

• Leadership for all Automotive Project Leaders to ensure projects are delivered– on time, on budget and to specifications. Seeks to drive continuous improvement in technology, engineering and delivery.
• To Lead Power Electronics, and Electrical System Integration Testing projects within TechM
• Planning, monitoring and control of all traditional / Electrical vehicle component development and Testing projects to guarantee maximum cross programme synergies, efficient use of resources and optimised profits.
• Working within, and influencing, the new product development / Product enhancement Programme & Engineering Management teams to guarantee that the Automotive department responsibilities collectively deliver customer’s specification targets.
• Working with Supply Chain Management to ensure delivery of components and systems on schedule for all phases of prototype, pilot, pre-production and production build.
• Preparation and presentation of material to support external and internal project status reviews
