Networking Consultant - Vector Packet Processing (5-8 yrs)

Job Title : Networking / VPP Developer

Experience : 5-8 Years

Location : Chennai (preferred), other locations considered

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain scripts and tools using Python, Ansible, and Shell scripting for network automation and management.

- Troubleshoot and manage Linux-based networks, ensuring stability and performance in large-scale environments.

- Expertise in network protocols including TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, NAT, VLAN, VXLAN, and DNS.

- Contribute to the development of OpenStack Neutron, along with hands-on experience with other OpenStack components such as Nova, Neutron, and Ironic.

- Deploy, configure, manage, and troubleshoot OpenStack environments, specifically focusing on SR-IOV, OVS (Open vSwitch), and VPP (Vector Packet Processing).

- Familiarity with Open Virtual Network (OVN) is a plus.

- In-depth understanding of NFV (Network Function Virtualization) and SDN (Software Defined Networks) architecture and implementation.

- Hands-on experience with Cloud Computing and Virtualization technologies.

Desired Skills :

- Linux networking expertise, with an ability to troubleshoot networking issues on Linux systems.

- Experience with RHEL, particularly with Kernel driver development and packaging.

- Knowledge of Golang programming language is highly desirable.

- Exposure to RHEL Realtime Kernel.

- Experience with IPMI/iLO/Redfish/BMC for server management (HPE, Dell, Cisco UCS, Quanta) is a plus.
