Planning Engineer

Role & responsibilities :

Job Description -

1. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project schedules, ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. The role involves close collaboration with various departments, including design, procurement, and construction, to ensure all project activities are aligned with the overall project plan.

2. Develop detailed project schedule in Primavera P6.

3. Break down the project scope into manageable work packages & assign timelines.

4. Updation on project schedule on periodic basis including updation of project S’ curves.

5. Conduct critical path analysis to identify and address potential delays.

6. Co-ordinate with Project Manager, Project Engineer and other functions to gather the information on project status.

7. Co-ordinate with other functions to ensure alignment with the project schedule.

8. Facilitate project meetings to discuss project progress, critical issues etc.

9. Prepare & monitor resource mobilization plan based on Productivity norms.

10. Identify potential risk that may impact the project schedule and develop mitigation plan / strategies for the same.

11. Prepare project MIS for internal / external customers on Weekly / Monthly basis.

12. Assist in preparing invoicing plan based on the updated schedules.
