General Manager Taxation

Role & responsibilities

• Ensuring timely monthly and annual GST compliances
• Ensuring timely TDS compliances and review of the same
• All tax related reconciliation (GSTR 2B vs purchase register, AIS/ TIS/26AS vs FS etc)
• Handling tax audit, income tax return, advance tax liability, tax provision, transfer pricing compliance etc
• Handling tax assessments, appeals, audits etc related to corporate tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing
• Coordinating with the auditors/ consultants
• Other tax related compliances like SFT filing, 15CA/ CB compliance etc
• Leading restructuring activities, design of tax efficient structures, review of tax clauses in various contracts, review of assumptions in project models etc
• Monitor development of all taxation matters and ensure new regulations are adequately implemented where necessary
• Providing subject matter expertise in respect of all direct and indirect taxes
• Group reporting related to tax matters
• Maintaining tax litigation and compliance tracker for all ongoing matters on time-to-time basis
• Provide guidance and supervision to non-tax staff members to ensure compliance of tax laws
• Establish and maintain relationships with professional tax advisers to manage relevant risks and costs

Preferred candidate profile

• Good indirect tax experience is a must.
• Sound technical and practical knowledge of tax laws (corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and international tax treaties)
• Experience of handling tax compliances, enquiries and tax audits
• Advanced excel skills must
