TITLE: Backend Developer

DEPARTMENT: Software Development

REPORTS TO: General Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable server-side applications.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Node.js and relevant backend technologies.
• Ensure application performance, security, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and fixing performance bottlenecks.
• Document and maintain backend functionality and architecture.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance backend systems.
• Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Manage database systems (e.g., MongoDB) and ensure data integrity and security.

TECHNICAL SKILLSET

BACKEND DEVELOPER

• Proficient in server-side development using Node.js and Express.js.
• Strong experience with database management systems, particularly MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, for application deployment and management.
• Understanding of RESTful services and MVC architecture.
• Ability to write unit tests and implement testing frameworks.
