Job Description
- Vertiv s Core Engineering organization is hiring a MCAD Support Engineer to join the Global Design Management and CAD integration team and assist global MCAD users with their critical infrastructure and data center projects
- This Person will focus on setting up the best MCAD practices by developing/managing part libraries, feature libraries, various MCAD start parts, and drawing templates/formats
- The person will also be responsible for resolving MCAD application-related queries and issues, including functional support
- Plus, the person will be responsible for improving MCAD usage by developing proof of concepts for various MCAD tool functionalities and modules
- The person will be defining MCAD SOPs
- Should lead CAD and PDM upgradation from the engineering perspective
- The person will be the point of contact for various MCAD solution providers for reporting and following the tool-related issues/enhancements
- bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in MCAD design using Creo and PLM tools.
- 2+ years of experience in the role of MCAD librarian/MCAD administrator
- Must be familiar with the Creo config. pro settings to help the MCAD Admin team.
- Must be able to evaluate and implement the best practices in Creo.
- Knowledge of Multiple CAD tools like Creo, Solid Edge, Solid Works, and Inventor.
- Hands-on experience on Oracle PD & Agile EC with global customers is preferred.
- Be familiar with Creo MBD and be able to lead MCAD standardization.
- Familiar with the change management process to maintain MCAD library files and SOPs.
- Logical thinking & Basics in technical documentation
- Quick learner and result oriented by providing quality deliverables
- Ability to analyse the root causes to drive for better changes.
- Execute and coordinate multiple activities independently and with the offshore team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively.
