Job Description :
- Engineering Leader DevOps plays a crucial role in leading the DevOps team and driving the implementation of continuous integration and delivery practices.
- This position is pivotal in aligning engineering processes with the organization's business objectives and ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor the DevOps team in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Oversee the development and operation of cloud infrastructure and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation, efficiency, and scalability.
- Establish best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting across the infrastructure.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps culture and practices across engineering teams.
- Manage the budget, resources, and timelines for DevOps projects.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Lead incident response and resolution efforts to maintain high availability of systems.
- Collaborate with product management to align DevOps initiatives with product roadmaps.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
- Develop and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and infrastructure.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, and performance management of the DevOps team.
- Contribute to the overall engineering leadership and strategic direction.
- Identify and drive initiatives for continuous improvement of engineering processes.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align DevOps strategies with business goals.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- With minimum experience of 18 yrs in software engineering.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a DevOps or infrastructure engineering team.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with infrastructure as code techniques using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Thorough understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Proven track record of driving cultural and organizational change towards DevOps practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and project management.
- Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while maintaining a strategic focus.
