C/C++ Developer - OTN/DWDM (5-18 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced C/C++ Developer with a strong background in Optical Transport Networks (OTN), Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), and QSFP (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable) Optical Modules. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in developing low-level, high-performance software solutions for optical communication systems. As a C/C++ Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing software solutions for high-speed optical networks.

Roles & Responsibilities :

1) Develop and maintain C/C++ based software solutions for Optical Transport Networks (OTN) or Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) or and QSFP optical modules.

2) Design and implement software for advanced optical communication systems, ensuring robustness, performance, and scalability.

3) Work closely with hardware and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware platforms.

4) Analyze and optimize system performance, particularly for real-time and high-throughput applications in optical communication.

5) Troubleshoot and debug complex system issues related to optical modules and network interfaces.

6) Ensure proper testing and validation of software components and modules in a lab environment, including functional, performance, and stress testing.

7) Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and system engineers, to define requirements and deliver high-quality software.

8) Review and contribute to technical specifications, design documents, and code reviews to ensure adherence to industry best practices and standards.

9) Stay current with the latest advancements in optical communication technologies and incorporate them into software development efforts.

10) Strong understanding of optical communication protocols, networking technologies, and related hardware (e.g., optical transceivers, modulators, etc.).

11) Familiarity with optical transport standards (e.g., ITU, OTN, DWDM) and QSFP form factor standards (e.g., QSFP+, QSFP28).
